I know how it ends, I've read it so many times.

Who is Destrie?

Destrie is my newest and favourite original character. At the time of her creation I craved to draw two things, A girl with long white hair and a pair of aviatior hat and goggles. I drew them both separately many a times before finally the two combined in one scrappy little drawing that I fell in love with

It wasn't long before I'd given her a a personality, a story and most importantly; a name. Destrie, named after the main character from an old cowboy movie Destry Rides Again, it suited her story perfectly. I had decided she was a girl who lived in post-apocalyptic Australia, adept with machinery that people had long since forgone and abandoned, she survives as a scavenger of old technology as well as an enthusiast of the the old world which ended long before her conception.

I imagined her life to be a series of interesting encounters, with people or items of the world that had been lost, bound by no rules she treated the abandoned towns and cities as her playground. It was only natural that specific adventures formed in my mind and i began to draw her adventures in comic form. The purpose of this post was to introduce Destrie, the lovable little scavenger and the brightest light in a world gone dark, nearly three pages into the first chapter, I hope the internet will fall in love with her just as much as I have
